Check it out on Vevo Here. Personally, I liked it. I quite enjoy this style of clip, and the song is great, wonderful building Folk Rock feel about it.

‘Believe’ is released on the 27th April, and precedes the band’s third album, released on May 1st through Dew Process in Oz.

Wilder Mind was recorded at Air Studios, London and produced by James Ford (Arctic Monkeys, HAIM, Florence & The Machine). It features twelve new tracks, written collaboratively by the band in London, Brooklyn, and Texas. A number of the new songs were written and demo’d at Aaron Dessner’s (The National) garage studios in Brooklyn.

This new album marks a significant departure for the young British band from their previous records, 2009’s Sigh No More, and 2012’s Babel. The early sessions in New York and London witnessed a change in the band’s approach not just to writing and recording, but to texture and dynamics, too.

Bear’s Den – New Video – ‘Think of England’

These guys have a bright future, loving their sound.

Dan Mangan + Blacksmith

The mesmerising film clip for ‘Think of England’ captures the cinematic moments fans have come to associate with Bear’s Dean’s powerful and provocative videos. Shot in smoky black and white by London-based director Gareth Phillips – following singles ‘Elysium’ and ‘Above the Clouds of Pompeii’and for the very first time features the band members themselves.
Horns, drums and a serpentine dancer soar in time to ‘Think of England’ – as it recounts a smouldering tale of the end of a dying relationship. The band’s signature lyrical depth partnered with melodic and harmonic twists, as it paints a picture of forgotten love.

A stark contrast to the fading fads and plastic scenes in music, Bear’s Den have won over legions of fans with their emotionally connective sound, a DIY ethos that saw them self-funding tours and hand-printed CDs, and their tender debut album released last year “Islands” – with critical acclaim from the likes of New York Times, Q Magazine and BBC Radio 1.

In just two short years, Andrew Davie (vocals and guitar), Joey Haynes (guitar) and Kev Jones (drums, bass) quietly went from pub shows to a jaw dropping headline gigs across the globe from touring the States alongside Mumford & Sons to supporting Matt Corby across Australia. For Bear’s Den, 2015 shows no signs of slowing down as they embark on a nine-show SOLD OUT tour across the UK before a further eight-date European headline tour across February and March.

“Think Of England” is the third single from the London-based trio’s hugely successful debut LP, Islands, out now through Dew Process

“…their long-awaited return to the stage, better than ever. These songs, new and old, have a power, undiminished neither by absence nor nascence. Any quantifiable success, past or future, is arbitrary. Augie March are important, plain and simple. It’s very good to have them back.”
In June 2014, one of Australia’s finest and most-loved bands Augie March announced their return from a six-year hiatus. This very welcome news was swiftly followed by the announcement that the band had quietly been creating a fifth studio album, Havens Dumb, in Hobart and Melbourne over the preceding three years. The band’s return to the live stage came in the form of playing at Howler, a few streets away from the scene of their first-ever show sixteen years earlier, in Brunswick Victoria. They ended up doing five nights in a row by popular demand. It was indeed a triumphant return, with the band in best-ever form, playing better than ever, and enjoying themselves for the first time in a long time.

Fans around the country and indeed the world have been hoping the band would decide to play some more shows and it is with the greatest pleasure that Augie March announce a national tour in some of the finest performances spaces the nation has to offer, from the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre to Hobart’s Mona to the Sydney Opera House, Melbourne Recital Centre, Her Majesty’s Theatre Adelaide and the Astor Theatre in Perth. They also play Brisbane’s great new live space The Triffid, the Ulumbarra Theatre in Bendigo and Tanks Art Centre in Cairns. Augie March – Glenn Richards, Kiernan Box, Edmondo Ammendola, Adam Donovan and Dave Williams, plus a horn section – will play these special concerts featuring songs from throughout their 17-year career.

Little May – “Little May EP” Release date: Friday, October 10th 2014

Formed in 2012, Liz Drummond, Hannah Field and Annie Hamilton, are three high school friends, singer-songwriters from Sydney’s North. Bonding over a mutual love of The National and Local Natives, they penned sometimes quiet, always potent songs that would soon see them coined as one of Australia’s breakout acts of 2014.

After uploading their first independent single ‘Boardwalks’ to Soundcloud last year, Little May’s sound travelled quickly through the digital world – online magazines clamored to share the song and community radio eagerly slotted it into their playlists.

Little May EP Track Listing:

2. Hide
3. Midnight Hour
